WordPress Host recommendations

Finally ready to get your own WordPress blog? or website? Well take a minute to explore your options. After helping many of you with your WordPress sites I’ve realized that hosting makes a big difference. Here are some tips that can help you get a good host without breaking the bank. These are also good if you’re trying to move away from a host that isn’t working out for you.

Get a host that supports:

SFTP instead of just FTP. Preferably
Multiple Databases instead of just one.
Multiple Domains instead of just one.
Unified login management.

Get a host that runs:

Linux or another Unix variant.
MySQL
Apache

Stay away from:

IIS, Windows, FTP-only.

For inexpensive shared web hosting, I personally use these hosts for different projects:
Dreamhost, Liquidweb, JustHost & BlueHost.
