eyeOS a desktop OS inside your web browser

I don't know if this is the first web desktop out there. I've heard a lot of buzz around the topic, I think I even heard rumors that Google was working on something like this at some point. Who knows? I even remember trying out some virtual java desktops that ran in a similar fashion but they never really worked.  eyeOS is here now and it works. The video they have on their site (nevermind the cheesy soundtrack) gives a really nice overview of the capabilities of the system.

At minimum you get a chat client, a wysiwyg editor, a contact list, calendar, rss reader and more. The coolest part about it is that it all runs inside a browser. You can even install some flash games and other applications. Since it sits in a server somewhere (your server or a hosted one), you can access and share all your stuff anytime. All you need to access your stuff or collaborate with co-workers or friends and family is a web browser and access to the internet. Pretty cool stuff I think.
