I’m posting a few videos related to using video today and tomorrow so check those out, but yeah this will help for sure especially if you’re doing talking-head vlogs or just vlogs in general. — The ball-head is nice to have pretty much with any tripod. Once I started using one with the Arca-Swiss style base and adapter then I always want it in all my tripods and mounting options. Makes adjustments really easy and makes it really easy to move the camera from one location to the other.

Hi Marjie! Thanks for dropping by, yes it’s relatively new. They gave some away earlier this year to select creators to test them out and get buzz going around them, but just in the past month or two they’ve been shipping them out to the commoners like me :p – It’s amazing.

Oh definitely would be great for food photography. The angle you get is pretty good for dishes and it would give you a really good steady shot even in low light situations which happen a lot in restaurants. I’ve been using it for food vlogging already, but it would work great for regular photos when you want a steady shot without any movement if you use your timer feature and a ball head to get the right angle as you see in the video.
