If you don't know what the 90 day video challenge is all about, here's the scoop.

For 90 days, you will be required to create, upload and publish a video to Youtube. The goal is to get you started with video content creation or to help you get to the next level.

Today, video is really important for any business, and while Youtube has been around for a little over 10 years now, independent video creators are just starting to flourish and they're starting to become mainstream.

Whether you have a brick and mortar business, an online business, a blog, or all of the above, video can help you grow and besides your time and a small investment in equipment, it's virtually free marketing!

The focus of the challenge will be to increase brand awareness, to generate more traffic and ultimately generate more sales for your business.

If you don't have a Youtube channel, this is the best opportunity to start. If you haven't done much with your existing Youtube channel, then this is your chance to step up your game.

The 90 day video challenge starts in two weeks!

The challenge begins on January 29, so you have a couple weeks to prepare! If you're interested in learning more, then join the updates here and I'll send you links to the Facebook group and all the details.

I'll be posting a few updates about the challenge here on the blog and on my Youtube channel. We're finalizing the rules, the prizes and all that sort of stuff so it will be good if you get into the Facebook group so you can see what's going on.

Unlike the previous challenge, this one will have more structure and we'll have tips, tricks, strategies and weekly guidance to help you succeed. Don't hesitate!

But this new challenge is important and from a practical point of view, it aligns well with the video challenge. The 22 Pushup challenge is about bringing awareness to the situation that many U.S. veterans encounter on a regular basis. Suicide.

The original challenge was to count 22 million pushups to raise awareness and buzz around this. The challenge was crafted by the folks at 22kill.com and while that number of pushups has been reached, there is more work to be done.

The situation is that at least, but likely more than 22 veterans are committing suicide each day. And there are different sources that report different numbers. CNN recently wrote this about the situation.

This article reports that in fact the 22 number is not exact. Not even close, the actual number is closer to 1 per day.

I know this is a grim topic, but whether the number is 22 or 2, it is too many. It is important to know that bringing light to this issue can help the situation. I believe in people and I know that veterans are strong, resilient and the article that explains the real number also has this at the end of it:

As veterans, we’re far more resilient than we’ve given ourselves credit for. If we do our job now, and extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters over 50, we can decrease that suicide rate, and ensure our generation avoids despair in the future.

That's speaking to other veterans, but I feel like I can use some of my abilities to bring this issue to light. I think that can only help, so I took up the challenge.

Each day I complete the 22 pushups I'm doing a short video and sharing it on social media. This was my first video about it which also happens to be one of the 90 day videos.

Zion has these ready to go all the time in the hot shelves. Just like any food you get from the hot shelves at a supermarket, it isn't the best, but when you have a craving and don't want to go and sit at a restaurant and wait this is the next best thing. You can always count on Zion Market to have a fresh batch of these waiting for a craving tooth.

Zion also has a lot of other Asian foods and spices that my wife uses. She's Vietnamese, and the store is Korean but they carry a lot of the same spices and produce that are used in Vietnamese cuisine. They sometimes have young coconuts and if they have them at a good price, I'll pick some up since I have the Coco Jack at home to crack them open.

I really like this place so I thought I'd give you a quick glance into it. If you've never been to an Asian supermarket, you should. They're fun, they have interesting stuff and really great deals in some things like you'll see in the video.

Turns out, it wasn't an aquarium but more of an educational center. Its official name is: Ocean Institute and it's in Dana Point, near the docks and below Chart House, a good restaurant you visit for the view more than the food.

Apparently we got lucky that we visited the Ocean Institute that day. Because it was really empty and we got an impromptu VIP tour.

If you are in Orange County or Southern California, I recommend you take a trip to this place to learn about the wild life in the ocean around this area. They have classes and tours planned for school trips and field trips, but as a member of the public, you can visit on the weekends and get access to some of the exhibits you'll see in the video.

On a side note, I should have made this video part of the Papidaddy channel, but I didn't want to miss my 90 day challenge that day so it made it into spot #7 for the 90 day video challenge. Enjoy!

It can be different for everybody, but there are some things that apply to everybody. My opinion is sometimes unpouplar but I know I'm right. The major social networks are: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin, YouTube, Google+, Tumblr, Instagram, not necessarily in that order, there's also Snapchat.

There are also dozens of other networks that are more focused or have a smaller user base but have a deeper reach into a specific niche. Sites like Reddit, Stumbleupon, Minds, Medium, Quora and others

So which ones should you join to help you promote your business? This video covers that.

Things are changing really fast now and as the youngest generation enters the workforce, new networks like Snapchat are becoming more and more influential. I have been spending a lot of time on Snapchat, if you want to join me there.

They are very easy to open if you know how and they are delicious. They are just sweet enough and don't overpower your palette.  Cactus pears are also rich in antioxidants and magnesium so they're good for you.

In this short video I show you how to open them and eat them. I wanted to tell you something that is not really in the video, many people online suggest you spit out the seeds. That's too much work! You can just eat the seeds and you'll be fine.

The fruit is very soft and you can just work your way around the seeds and swallow them, nothing bad will happen.

My go-to drink is a white chocolate mocha, heavily customized. But once in a while I'll try something new. The other day I tried their new Chile Mocha, but I didn't care for it.

Now that we're in October and the pumpkin craze is in full effect I thought I would try the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I've used this technique to get 1000s of followers. When I started using Rewst, I had just around 3000. I'm close to 8000 followers now and continue to grow.

I have to remind you that you have to be mindful of how you use Rewst, or any other Twitter growth tool. You MUST work on engaging with your followers and those that you follow. Without real engagement, the number of followers you have becomes nothing more than a vanity metric.

One of the things that is great about Rewst that I didn't mention in the video, and maybe I'll cover it in a future blogpost is their virtual assistant service. If you don't think you have the time to do what I showed you in the video, they have a service where a person will do the work for you.

Excuses don't really help you, so if you have a smart phone. All you need is to come up with an idea and start recording. In future videos I'll give you some ideas about which topics you can cover.

If you have a smart phone, that's all you need to start. Keep it simple, just get started.

As you grow, you can improve buy better equipment but you can always start with what you have. If you have a point and shoot camera that can record in 720p quality then you could also use that.

I have a few different cameras that I use, but the majority of the videos I make are shot with my Galaxy Note 5. This makes it so easy to shoot a video when the idea pops into my head because I always have my phone with me.

If money is no object, then you could start by buying a nice DSLR and a great microphone and fancy editing software, but if you don't have deep pockets, then just use what you already have with you, your iPhone or Android phone and get started.
