Recently I watched No Escape. An action thriller with Luke Wilson & Pierce Brosnan.

TL;DR. It's great, jam packed with adrenaline pumping scenes and some truly frightening situations.

Here's my movie review and commentary about No Escape, 2015 with Luke Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell.

First the trailer if you haven't seen it yet. It's actually a great trailer. Just enough to get you hooked and give you a sense of the story but not too revealing.

This was a really intense movie. I would give it a high 6/10 or maybe 7/10 rating. The acting is fine, I even like Wilson in this.

But there is no comedy here. This is a serious, adrenaline pumping thriller. There were at least a few scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Pierce does a great job too as a political corporate mercenary role that saves the day a few times before he meets his demise

You see one of the scenes in the trailer for a moment. Yes, tossing the little girl in the air. Wait until you see the full thing. #OMG

It's not necessarily a masterpiece, but it's better than a textbook thriller. The storyline is plausible and the intense action makes up for some of the plot holes. It is violent and gory but I think only as much as it needs to be.

Would I recommend you watch it? Sure. If you like action, escapes, shooting, political turmoil and don't mind some intense violence and civil war-like situations then yes, you must watch this. Is it going to win an Oscar? probably not but it will probably be on Netflix within 6 months.

I found another movie that I skipped the first time around, I'm talking about Prisoners with Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman. This movie was directed by Denis Villeneuve who also directed Enemy also with Gyllenhaal. You can get it on Netflix DVD, Google Play, or on Amazon Prime.

This is a must watch mystery thriller. It is dark and full of twists. This is the synopsis:

Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) faces a parent's worst nightmare when his 6-year-old daughter, Anna, and her friend go missing. The only lead is an old motorhome that had been parked on their street. The head of the investigation, Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal), arrests the driver (Paul Dano), but a lack of evidence forces Loki to release his only suspect. Dover, knowing that his daughter's life is at stake, decides that he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands.

I won't spoil it for you because that would suck, but I can tell you that this movie is worth watching. Gyllenhaal plays a cop that is sedulous and efficient at his job until he hits this case where nothing makes any sense and the clues are misleading.

Every lead seems to be a dead end.

Jake is the twitchy small town cop trying to find the perpetrator.

Maria Bello & Hugh Jackman as parents, fighting to keep their sanity.

Jackman plays the dad who will go to whatever extremes necessary to find his missing daughter, even if it means crossing the lines of morality, or decency and dragging the other dad (Terrence Howard) along with him.

Check out the trailer and then go to your favorite service to get this movie and watch it. I have to warn you, it's not for the faint of heart. But if you like murder mysteries, cop thrillers and then you won't be disappointed. And as always Jake Gyllenhaal delivers a stellar performance, and you can't complain about the rest of the cast who does a terrific job as well.

As I mentioned on a previous post, many companies have an affiliate program. This means that you have a good chance of making some extra cash if you try to use an affiliate program on your blog.

Apple has an affiliate program for iTunes content. You can sign up to be an Apple iTunes affiliate by applying here.

That means you can promote apps, music videos, Television shows, Movies and other paid content available on iTunes.

Maybe you like to review books, or movies or music. You could add some of the affiliate links about the content you review or write about. Using these links on you blog or website will pay you money when clicked on.

I've never promoted this before so I can't tell you how they have worked for me, but I just applied so I will keep you updated when I my application is approved or denied.

Something I noticed is that they seem to be active and keep you can read their page of affiliate resources. Looks like a good tool for new iTunes affiliates. You'll find link generators, banner generators and even an RSS generator.

I think this is the speech:

My name is Lt. Aldo Raine and I'm putting together a special team, and I need me eight soldiers. Eight Jewish-American soldiers. Now, y'all might've heard rumors about the armada happening soon. Well, we'll be leaving a little earlier. We're gonna be dropped into France, dressed as civilians. And once we're in enemy territory, as a bushwhackin' guerrilla army, we're gonna be doin' one thing and one thing only... killin' Nazis.

Now, I don't know about y'all, but I sure as hell didn't come down from the goddamn Smoky Mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half of Sicily and jump out of a fuckin' air-o-plane to teach the Nazis lessons in humanity. Nazi ain't got no humanity. They're the foot soldiers of a Jew-hatin', mass murderin' maniac and they need to be dee-stroyed.

That's why any and every every son of a bitch we find wearin' a Nazi uniform, they're gonna die. Now, I'm the direct descendant of the mountain man Jim Bridger. That means I got a little Injun in me. And our battle plan will be that of an Apache resistance. We will be cruel to the Germans, and through our cruelty they will know who we are. And they will find the evidence of our cruelty in the disemboweled, dismembered, and disfigured bodies of their brothers we leave behind us. And the German won't not be able to help themselves but to imagine the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, and our boot heels, and the edge of our knives. And the German will be sickened by us, and the German will talk about us, and the German will fear us.

And when the German closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of us they are tortured with. Sound good?

The Basterds: YES, SIR!

Lt. Aldo Raine: That's what I like to hear. But I got a word of warning for all you would-be warriors. When you join my command, you take on debit. A debit you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will git me one hundred Nazi scalps, taken from the heads of one hundred dead Nazis. Or you will die tryin'.
