In reply to Oscar. Oscar, I understand the difference, but I'm having trouble, after uploading a plug in, getting the widget to appear in the Appearance/widgets interface. What do I have to do once I've activated the PHP widget, for example, to get it to appear in the widgets interface?

Much thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I am always searching for fantastic plugins like you mentioned to suggest to my clients. Much thanks for creating this tutorial . Do you know the answer to this question: Will inactive plugins slow down WordPress? I know active plugins will slow it down, but I’m just curious if inactive plugins will? Does anybody know?
