Original Mini Cruisin in Irvine

I was driving the other day, heading to Dot Com Lunch and came up to this little car. I thought it was pretty cool but I was surprised I didn't recognize it. Someone told me this was a Mini, later on, but for some reason I didn't think it was at first.

Maybe it's because we were going at 60 mph, or more likely I just don't know that much about older cars. So I took some video of it and posted it on Youtube. I wonder if you know what kind of car it is?
