Blogging Myths Debunked
I'm tired of hearing non-sense about blogging. Here are three myths that so called experts may have you believe about blogging.
One thing I can tell you that is true and will work and will make you successful at blogging. If you want to be a blogger, then blog. Seriously. Just blog.
In this video I explained some of these myths and why you should try to blog daily.
Blogging daily will increase your traffic. Always. If you increase your traffic, you increase the chances of that one person you want to read your blog more regularly.
Writing consistently and promoting your content is the only way to get more visitors to your blog. Ok, you see what I did there? I told you "writing consistently AND promoting." And some of you are going to call me out on that.
The thing is that I would love to tell you to promote your content daily. And if you had enough, you would only have to do that, but until you have hundreds of posts published and a lot of traffic coming in naturally, you need to write more blogposts.
I'm not telling you to sacrifice the quality, but you need to increase quantity. Just look at any of the big successful blogs. They produce content on a consistent schedule and it is usually daily.
The few blogs that get away with publishing two times per week or less than daily usually take a long time to produce their two or three blogposts. And that works for them. They also tend to be established blogs that have been around for a long time.
Time and longevity is on their side but not on yours. Try to write everyday.
