Interview with Adam Preiser from WPCrafter, CartFlows, and More. WordCamp Orange County 2019

|

I had a chance to catch up with Adam Preiser from WPCrafter and Cartflows during the last WordCamp Orange County.

Instead of drilling him about WordPress stuff, I decided to interview him and ask him about the explosive growth on his channel.

Adam grew his channel from 60,000 subscribers and then pretty much doubled his subscriber numbers in one year.

Almost... his channel is sitting just below 120,000 subscribers as I write this.

Adam runs WPCrafter, a channel about WordPress for non-techies. You can also find more about it on the website.

Watch the interview to catch some tips, and just some tech talk about running a channel, growing it, avoiding rookie mistakes and more.

Adam is also the creator of CartFlows which I'll be reviewing soon I hope. Think of CartFlows as ClickFunnels for WordPress.

Something odd about this interview. See at the bottom of this post, you should see a list of all the equipment I have.

It's not fancy or sophisticated equipment, but there are a few pieces. I try to use it all when it's necessary.

It was necessary during this interview because there were people everywhere so the background noise would be high.

I was prepared I thought. I brought my Zoom recorders, a splitter, two microphones and I set everything up. Adam was wired, I was wired, everything was going according to plan.

Then a few minutes later after we finished the interview I realized that the recorder hadn't been recording the whole time! My heart sank. I thought I had wasted that entire interview.

Luckily the camera microphone worked pretty well and only picked up minor interruptions.

It's not perfect but it still captured us really clearly most of the time.

What do you think? Also, what do you think of the interview? What other questions would you like to ask Adam? Or what did you learn from this?

Please let me know in the comments or over on Twitter.
