An unfortunate event for my fellow tocayo. Tocayo I guess mean's "namesake". It's a popular word in spanish and it is common that people will make a comment about this when this is noticed... so anyway. The reason I have this section of my blog is to chronicle what I find about other Oscar González out there in the world. Perhaps we'll have a world meet up one day. Unfortunately not for this Oscar Gonzalez. I can't imagine what he was up to in the middle of the crosswalk in Houston Texas...

The accident happened just before 10pm Saturday in the 800 block of Spencer Highway at 8th Street.

Police said a car hit Oscar Gonzalez in the middle of the crosswalk, but the driver never stopped.

Gonzalez, 61, was airlifted to Memorial Herman Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
