Another reason I love Google Calendar

Google Calendar is great, here's a screenshot that shows you one of the many reasons why it is so good.

This is cool because Google tries to find the information about your meeting and automatically populate the right fields. I didn't do this manually. From Gmail, I simply used the "create event" option from the drop-down "more actions" menu and, voila, the event gets created and has many of the details filled in.

This happens all the time, and as long as the date and time are somewhere in the e-mail, it usually works. To test it out yourself, use the create event option from your e-mail as shown on the next screenshot.

  3. Hi Andy, yes. I wasn’t clear before – I just edited the post a little to make it more clear. The e-mail with appointment information is in Gmail, then if you create an event based on that e-mail then the appointment information will be filled in. In order for you to use google calendar, you need to have a google/gmail account.

    Thanks for stopping by!
