As Claire grows and grows, we are getting to do more stuff with her. With the Holidays just around the corner, it was time to take Claire to visit Santa Claus for the first time.
You may be wondering, where would you see Santa if you live in Orange County. I'm sure that he shows up throughout town, but we went to Santa's Village in South Coast Plaza. The trick is to get there early so that you don't have to wait in line too long.
As it is, we arrived there just after 10 am and it took about 40 minutes to get through the line ahead of us. There were about 12-15 groups ahead of us.
Santa's Village has a lot of photo opportunities, The entire area is decorated with a Christmas theme. The village is set as a mountainous looking area with snowed peaks and trees. All around you can take pictures with your family. Once you get to Santa, you'll pick the package you want. You can either have them take photos for you or you can take them yourself with your own camera.
After you get the picture taken, then they print them on the spot so you can take them home. You can also order a CD with the photos in it.
After you're finished with photos, you can head over to the Carousel which is next to the Village and go for a ride like we did. Claire had a blast, and I have to say that it was a lot of fun for us too. Even though she's only 1 year old, I think she had a lot of fun looking around and hanging out. Oh yeah, and with her newfound walking ability, she really got a workout in by going from store to store after the photos and carousel.
Looking for something to do with the kids? then this is a must. Go check out Santa's Village in Costa Mesa at the South Coast Plaza mall.
