With all this Covid-19 stuff, I thought I’d find my footage and finish my video for the Tackle Box visit. This was amazing and still one of my favorite restaurants. I can’t wait to go back to have the blackened ahi burger again.
The Tackle Box is a restaurant & bar located at SOCO & The OC Mix in Costa Mesa. If you ever saw my review about Taco Maria, it’s in the same outdoor mall.
And let me just tell you that it was amazing. It’s been a long time since I went, but I still remember the amazing flavor and texture of the fish sandwich.
Don’t get me wrong, the Korean burger I ordered and the buffalo cauliflower were top notch as well, but the blackened ahi burger was at another level. It felt like it didn’t belong at an outdoor mall and instead you would find it at a fine dining restaurant served for brunch for $32.00.
But no, this is $16 and it’s one of Brian Huskey’s masterpieces. If you watch the video, you’ll see that it was totally unexpected.
